TradingView to Tradovate Automation Tools Compared
TradingView can send an alert to a webhook URL, but it cannot place a Tradovate order by itself. An automation tool sits in between: it receives the alert and places the order on your Tradovate account.
This guide compares three tools that do that, as of September 2026: Roboquant Connect, PickMyTrade and TradersPost. Prices and features come from each tool's public pages; they change, so confirm them on the linked pricing pages before you subscribe.

What Every Tool Needs
Whichever tool you pick, the TradingView side is the same:
- A paid TradingView plan. Webhook notifications are included on Essential and above, not on Basic (TradingView pricing).
- Two-factor authentication on your TradingView account. TradingView only allows webhook alerts with 2FA on.
- Tradovate trading costs. Tradovate charges per-contract commissions that depend on your Tradovate plan, plus exchange and NFA fees (Tradovate pricing).

1. Roboquant Connect: For Traders Whose Accounts Are All on Tradovate
Price: $39.90/month, or an annual plan. 7-day free trial on every new subscription (pricing).
Strengths:
- Unlimited Tradovate accounts at one price; one alert can trade every account you select.
- OAuth login on Tradovate's own page, so Connect never sees your password. Every account under that login is connected.
- Alert Builder that generates the JSON message for your accounts, sizing, order type and optional take profit and stop loss.
- Per-account sizing (fixed quantity, or a multiplier in Fixed Qty mode).
- Risk controls: a global or per-account kill switch, allowed symbols, max daily trades and max daily loss.
- Executions log with each order's status, broker order ID and payload.
Limits:
- Tradovate only. No other brokers, and no stocks or crypto.
- Max daily trades defaults to 50 per account; raise it if your strategy trades more.
- The daily loss limit counts realized P&L only and resets at 00:00 UTC.
- The kill switch blocks every order, including exits sent by alerts, and doesn't close open positions.
- Allowed symbols ignores the contract month (
ESH5matchesES), but not continuous symbols: a{{ticker}}ofMNQ1!doesn't matchMNQ.
Best for: futures traders with one or many Tradovate accounts, including prop-firm accounts that sit under a Tradovate login.
2. PickMyTrade: For Traders With Several Brokers
Price: $50/month, $120/quarter or $350/year, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required (pricing).
Strengths:
- The widest broker list of the three: Tradovate, Rithmic, Ironbeam, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, TradeLocker, ProjectX, Match-Trader, Tradier and cTrader.
- Unlimited strategies, trades and accounts.
- Quarterly and annual plans, and a trial that doesn't need a card.
Limits:
- At $50, the monthly plan costs more than Connect's $39.90 monthly plan. Paid yearly ($350), PickMyTrade works out to about $29.17 a month.
Best for: traders whose accounts are spread across Tradovate, Rithmic-based firms and other platforms.
3. TradersPost: For Multi-Asset Traders
Price: from $41.65/month billed yearly (Starter, 1 live account) up to $254.15/month billed yearly (Premium, 6 live accounts, all asset classes). Extra live accounts are $10/month each. 7-day trial (pricing).
Strengths:
- Brokers across asset classes, including Tradovate, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, Alpaca and crypto exchanges.
- All asset classes on the Premium plan.
Limits:
- Live accounts are capped by plan (1, 2, 3 or 6), with a fee for each extra account.
Best for: traders who run stock, crypto and futures strategies and want one tool for all of them.
How to Choose
- Where are your accounts? If any are on a broker other than Tradovate, Connect can't trade them. Look at PickMyTrade or TradersPost.
- Do you trade more than futures? For stocks or crypto, TradersPost covers more asset classes.
- How many accounts? On Tradovate, Connect and PickMyTrade don't limit accounts; TradersPost plans include 1 to 6 live accounts.
- Which controls do you need? List the limits you want (kill switch, symbol list, daily trade and loss limits) and confirm a tool offers them before you subscribe.
- What is your firm's rule on automation? Prop firms set their own rules, and no connector makes a strategy compliant. Read the firm's official help center first.
- Test before you pay. Each tool lists a free trial: 7 days for Connect, 7 days for PickMyTrade and TradersPost. Run the same alert on a demo account and compare what each tool logs.

- Start the 7-day free trial and connect Tradovate with OAuth.
- Build your alert in the Alert Builder and copy the webhook URL and JSON.
- Create the TradingView alert with the webhook URL and message.
- Verify orders in Executions on a demo account, then set your risk controls before going live.
